How to Access the Scrively Library
To access the Scrively Library, from the Dashboard, click on “Explore Our Story Library.” Alternatively, click your avatar in the top-right corner of the app, then select “Scrively Library” from the dropdown menu. You’ll arrive at the Scrively Library where you can choose from hundreds of templates to help you get started with your project.
Working with Characters in Scrively Book Templates
Scrively book templates come with built-in characters that help bring each story to life. From the character view, you can explore the existing characters, use them as they are, or easily replace them with your own to better match your story’s style and direction. Each book template includes built-in characters that you can use as they are to quickly bring your story to life. You have the option to replace as many characters as you'd like by clicking on "Replace this character." Give the character a name. Add a character description. Select a character type. Upload the character's image from your device. If needed zoom in/out of the image. Click into the crop image tool to drag and determine what part of the image to focus on. When you're ready click on "Save." Select who's in the image to help us tailor your experience. Prefer to use a character from your character library? Click on "Pick from My Characters." Click on "Save Character." The previous character will be replaced with the new one. Hover over the character to see a full view image. Not happy with the replaced character? How to Select and Start Using a Book from the Scrively Library
The Scrively Library offers a wide range of ready-made templates designed to help you quickly begin your project. Selecting a book is simple, and once chosen, you can preview its contents and start building from a structured, pre-designed foundation tailored to your story. From the Dashboard, click on “Explore Our Story Library.” Alternatively, from your avatar click on "Scrively Library." You’ll arrive at the Scrively Library, where you can browse hundreds of templates to kickstart your project. Click on the book you'd like to use and click on "Continue." Confirm that you want to continue. This will use one book from your plan or credit balance. You'll be taken to the character view, where you can either use the existing characters as they are or replace them with your own which you can learn more about here.
How to Use the Search Bar and Library Template Filters to Find the Perfect Template Faster
With hundreds of templates to choose from, the Scrively Library template filters make it easy to quickly find the perfect option for your project. Filters help narrow down results by age group, page count, and art style so you can browse templates that best match your needs. From the Dashboard, click on “Explore Our Story Library.” Alternatively, click your avatar in the top-right corner of the app, then select “Scrively Library” from the dropdown menu. You’ll arrive at the Scrively Library where you can choose from hundreds of templates to help you get started with your project. Use the search field to locate specific templates. You can also click on “All Books” or “All Bundles” to filter the available templates. Click on “All Categories” to browse the available categories, or enter a category name to quickly find and select a specific option. Click on the "Sort" dropdown. Sort by title (A–Z or Z–A), or by page count (fewest to most or most to fewest). Select an "Age Range." You can select multiple ranges if needed. Choose your "Page Length." Choose a drawing style. You can select one or multiple styles, browse all available styles, or use the search bar to quickly find a specific style. The search filters will display all relevant book templates. Want to start over? Click on the "X" icon to clear all filters.
How to Preview Scrively Library (Template) Books
Previewing books in the Scrively Library makes it easy to explore templates before you start creating. From the Dashboard, click on “Explore Our Story Library.” Alternatively, click your avatar in the top-right corner of the app, then select “Scrively Library” from the dropdown menu. You’ll arrive at the Scrively Library, where you can browse hundreds of templates to kickstart your project. To preview a book, simply hover over it. This will open a preview window where you can view key details, including the title, page count, age range, category, art style, and a description of the story. Click on the "Preview" icon. The book will open in another browser where you can scroll through the pages to view the content of the book.
Browsing Scrively Library Bundles
Browsing the Scrively library book bundles gives you a simple way to explore curated, ready-made collections of story ideas designed to spark creativity without starting from scratch. Each bundle is grouped by theme, making it easy to find inspiration for anything from bedtime stories to classroom projects or personalized books, so you can quickly jump in and start creating something meaningful. From the Dashboard, click on “Explore Our Story Library.” Alternatively, click your avatar in the top-right corner of the app, then select “Scrively Library” from the dropdown menu. You’ll arrive at the Scrively Library where you can choose from hundreds of templates to help you get started with your project.\ Click on the "All books" filter and select "All Bundles." Click on "All categories" to view the available bundles for that category. Click into the bundle. After selecting a bundle, you’ll see all the books included in that collection, giving you a range of options to choose from to get started. Click on "Back to bundles" to return to the list of bundles for the selected category.
