How to Access the Scrively Library

To access the Scrively Library, from the Dashboard, click on “Explore Our Story Library.” Alternatively, click your avatar in the top-right corner of the app, then select “Scrively Library” from the dropdown menu. You’ll arrive at the Scrively Library where you can choose from hundreds of templates to help you get started with your project.

How to Use the Search Bar and Library Template Filters to Find the Perfect Template Faster

With hundreds of templates to choose from, the Scrively Library template filters make it easy to quickly find the perfect option for your project. Filters help narrow down results by age group, page count, and art style so you can browse templates that best match your needs. From the Dashboard, click on “Explore Our Story Library.” Alternatively, click your avatar in the top-right corner of the app, then select “Scrively Library” from the dropdown menu. You’ll arrive at the Scrively Library where you can choose from hundreds of templates to help you get started with your project. At the top, you’ll have the option to configure your “Advanced Options,” which we explain in more detail in our guide here. Use the search field to locate specific templates. You can also click on "Filters" on the far right of the search field. Click on the "Sort By" dropdown. Sort by title (A–Z or Z–A), or by page count (fewest to most or most to fewest). Select an "Age Range." Choose your "Page Length." Choose your "Art Style" or view "All styles." At the bottom left, you’ll see a count of how many books match your selections. Want to start over? Click on "Clear all." Click on "Show results." The search filters will be listed in the "Active" state and display all relevant book templates. Don't want to use the filters? Click on "Clear."

How to Manually Search for Books by Category in the Scrively Library

The Scrively Library makes it easy to find exactly what you need by browsing books manually through categories. Instead of scrolling through hundreds of options, you can quickly narrow your search by selecting a specific category to discover relevant book templates.  From the Dashboard, click on “Explore Our Story Library.” Alternatively, click your avatar in the top-right corner of the app, then select “Scrively Library” from the dropdown menu. You’ll arrive at the Scrively Library where you can choose from hundreds of templates to help you get started with your project. Scroll down and the category will be set to “All Stories” by default, allowing you to view every available storybook template. At the bottom of the page, you’ll find pagination options that let you move through the library by clicking Previous or Next, or by selecting specific page numbers to quickly jump to more templates. Alternatively, click into a specific category to see all related storybook templates.

Browsing Scrively Library Bundles

Browsing the Scrively library book bundles gives you a simple way to explore curated, ready-made collections of story ideas designed to spark creativity without starting from scratch. Each bundle is grouped by theme, making it easy to find inspiration for anything from bedtime stories to classroom projects or personalized books, so you can quickly jump in and start creating something meaningful. From the Dashboard, click on “Explore Our Story Library.” Alternatively, click your avatar in the top-right corner of the app, then select “Scrively Library” from the dropdown menu. You’ll arrive at the Scrively Library where you can choose from hundreds of templates to help you get started with your project. At the top, you’ll find the Book Bundles categories, featuring curated collections designed to help you quickly explore themed story ideas without starting from scratch. Click into the categories to view the available bundles. After selecting a bundle, you’ll see all the books included in that collection, giving you a range of options to choose from to get started.

How to Preview Scrively Library (Template) Books

Previewing books in the Scrively Library makes it easy to explore templates before you start creating.  From the Dashboard, click on “Explore Our Story Library.” Alternatively, click your avatar in the top-right corner of the app, then select “Scrively Library” from the dropdown menu. You’ll arrive at the Scrively Library, where you can browse hundreds of templates to kickstart your project. To preview a book, simply hover over it. This will open a preview window where you can view key details, including the title, page count, age range, category, art style, and a description of the story. Click on the "Preview" icon. The book will open in another browser. At the bottom left hover over each character’s avatar to see how they look. Use the left and right navigation arrows to move through the pages. Want to view the book in full screen? Click the enlarge button in the bottom-right corner. At the bottom of the page, you can also click "Share" on Facebook.

How to Select and Start Using a Book from the Scrively Library

The Scrively Library offers a wide range of ready-made templates designed to help you quickly begin your project. Selecting a book is simple, and once chosen, you can preview its contents and start building from a structured, pre-designed foundation tailored to your story. From the Dashboard, click on “Explore Our Story Library.” Alternatively, from your avatar click on "Scrively Library." You’ll arrive at the Scrively Library, where you can browse hundreds of templates to kickstart your project. Click on the book you'd like to use. Click on "Continue." Confirm that you want to continue. This will use one book from your plan or credit balance. You'll be taken to the character view, where you can either use the existing characters as they are or replace them with your own.
