Make the lesson meaningful to your child by personalizing it around their age, experiences, and the message you want them to take away. Little Light will use your selections to help shape a lesson that feels relevant to them.

In the “Bible Lesson” step, your selected verse will appear on the left-hand side.

If you’d like to change the verse, click **“**Choose a different verse.”

On the right-hand side, you’ll see the lesson. Make any edits needed to personalize the lesson and make it a good fit for your child.

Below the lesson, you’ll find the Bible story connection.

A recommended Bible story will be selected for you, or you can choose a different Bible story connection if you prefer.

You can also choose to use the selected verse on the cover of your book.

Prefer a different verse for the cover? Click on "Type a different verse..."

Add the verse reference.

Then, add the quotation.

Click “Use this cover verse” to add it to the cover.

Optional: At the end of the book, you can choose to add discussion questions, a simple activity, a short prayer, and/or a memory verse.

When you’re ready, click “Meet their characters.”

From this point forward, the remaining steps for creating your Little Light book are the same as the standard Scrively book creation process.

Head over to our How to Create Your Characters guide to learn more about adding and working with your characters. At the end of each guide, you’ll find a link to the next step, so you can easily follow along through the rest of the book creation process.
