Adding Interactive Buttons to Your Books

Interactive buttons allow you to make your books more engaging by letting readers take actions as they move through your story. In Scrively Studio, you can add buttons that trigger events, navigate pages, or reveal content, helping you create a more dynamic and interactive reading experience.

Head over to the "My Library" tab.

Click on “Studio.”

The book will open in Scrively Studio, where you can start adding interactive buttons. Click on the "Interactive" tab.

Click on "Add Button."

Click into the "Label" field to give the button a name.

Open the color palette to choose a custom background color for the button.

Select the color.

You can also type in your desired color code.

Select a color.

You can also type in your desired color code.

Choose left, center or right alignment for the text in the button.

Use the slider to set the width of the button.

Use the slider to set the height of the button.

You will have three options for the action the button should take starting with adding a link.

Add the link in the provided field.

After a link is added, a link indicator icon will be displayed in the top-right corner of the button. Click and drag the button to position it on the page(s) as needed.

The next option is to add a sound effect to the button. Use the slider to set the volume.

Set the volume percentage for the sound effect.

Click on "Upload" to add your own sound effect.

Or browse through the provided categories.

Click on the play icon to listen to the sound effect.


Click on the pause icon to stop it.

When you're ready to use the sound effect click on "Select."

If you no longer want to use the sound effect click on "Remove."

After a sound effect is added, a sound effect indicator icon will be displayed in the top-right corner of the button. Click and drag the button to position it on the page(s) as needed.

The final option is to add music.

Use the slider to set the volume.

Set the "Play for" duration.

Click on "Upload" to add your own music.

Or browse through the available categories of music.

Click on the play icon to listen to the music.

Click on the pause icon to stop it.

When you're ready to use the music click on "Select."

If you no longer want to use the music click on "Remove."

After music is added, a music indicator icon will be displayed in the top-right corner of the button. Click and drag the button to position it on the page(s) as needed.

Want to start over? Click on "Clear all."

Satisfied with your selections? Click on "Save."
