Can I add my own text or illustrations?

Yes! Scrively allows full customization, including manually adding or uploading text, adding your own images, and adjusting the layout.

Shipping Times & Delivery Information

Once you place an order for a printed book through Scrively, production and shipping times may vary based on your order quantity, delivery location, and the shipping method selected. During peak periods or high-demand seasons, delivery times may be slightly extended. Shipping Options For orders placed through the Scrively Web App, you can choose from five shipping methods at checkout: - Standard Mail: 7–14 business days - Priority Mail: 5–9 business days - Ground: 5–7 business days - Expedited: 3–5 business days - Express: 1–3 business days Shipping costs and estimated delivery windows are automatically calculated based on your order details and location. Additional Notes Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary due to carrier delays, customs processing (for international orders), or peak seasonal demand. Can I use ColorBurst on any book?

Yes! Any Scrively book you’ve created can be converted using ColorBurst. There’s no extra software or design skills needed. 

Do I need experience to create books with Scrively?

Absolutely not. While Scrively is used by professional writers from around the globe, it's also used by everyday parents like us. You can write your own book from scratch. You can use the power of AI to help improve your writing and/or give you ideas. And you can even write entire books with AI, based on your specific prompts (i.e. what you tell it to write for you). It's super simple and straightforward. Heck, even your kids, themselves, can craft books!

How does Colorburst differ from the standard Scrively features or other add-ons?

ColorBurst transforms your Scrively storybook into a beautifully illustrated coloring book, converting each image into high-resolution line art perfect for coloring. You can also start fresh and create an entirely new coloring book from scratch. ColorBurst specifically gives you a printable coloring book version, an entirely different creative pathway. That is separate from the Studio which focuses on voiceovers, audio and interactive elements.

What kinds of background music and sound effects are available?

Can I keep the stories I create private or share them publicly?

How Scrively keeps your data safe

Can friends and family access my stories online?

Yes! Friends and family can easily access your stories online through your Scrively Library or via direct shareable links, letting them enjoy the stories on any device.

How are Scrively Book Spines Printed?

The spine is generated automatically. It will display vertically from top to bottom, similar to a US-printed book. By default, the spine includes the Scrively logo, which you can toggle off. We’re working on future updates that will give you more visual control over spine customization.

Understanding Your Book Order Status: What Each Stage Means

When you place an order for a book, it can go through several stages before it arrives at your doorstep. Understanding each order status helps you know exactly where your book is in the process and what to expect next. Preparing: Your order has been received and our in-house printing service is reviewing the details and getting everything ready for shipment. No action is required on your part. Shipped: Your book is on the way! Once shipped, you can view and track your package using the tracking link provided. Delivery time depends on your location and selected shipping method which you can learn more about here. Canceled: Your order has been canceled and will not be processed or shipped. This may be due to a manual user cancellation or the order being rejected. Delivered: Your book has successfully arrived at the address you provided. If you didn’t receive your package or notice any issues, please reach out so we can assist you right away.

Does Scrively have an API integration?

At this time, Scrively does not support API integrations or provide public API access. All features and workflows are managed directly within the Scrively app.

Moving From Desktop to Web App

It’s not possible to do a direct 1:1 transition between the desktop and web applications, as they are built on entirely different foundations. The Web App is designed with a more flexible framework that allows you to create and manage your books directly within your browser from any device. Because it’s built differently, the Web App also enables our team to move faster and introduce new creative features that weren’t possible with the desktop version. Why Books Can’t Be Deleted?

Books cannot be deleted once created, as each book generated counts toward your monthly allowance or one-time purchase allocation. This ensures accurate tracking of usage across all plans, including Free, Plus, Pro, and one-time purchase options.
