Design Your Book’s Front Cover

Modified on Thu, Jun 19 at 1:37 PM

Once your story is written, it’s time to bring it to life visually. Scrively’s design tools make it easy to personalize your book’s appearance. From fonts and layouts to illustrations and page styles, design your book so that it looks just as good as it reads.

Start by designing your front cover using the tools on the left side of the canvas.

Choose a font and design style for your book’s title to match your story’s tone.

Explore font styles by filtering through All styles, colored, dark, or light options.

The font styles available to you depend on your current plan. Upgrade to PRO to unlock full access to all font styles.

Alternatively, use the search bar to quickly find font styles by name.

Click on "Apply styles" to use the selected font style.

The selected font style will be displayed.

To revert to your original or custom font style, open the font style picker and select your custom style from the list.

The "Book Title" table is only available when using the custom style. It won’t appear if you select a predefined font style. Personalize the book title by customizing the font, applying bold, italic, or underline formatting, adjusting the font size, line height, and letter spacing. You can also select a text color that complements your cover design for a more polished, cohesive look.

When a predefined font style is selected, you’ll have access to customize the author name settings to fit your design.

If you switch back to the "Editor" view while working in the "Designer" view, a pop-up will appear warning that any changes made in the Editor will reset your styles and images. Generated imaged will be saved in the "Graphics" tab.
