Build Your Story with Scrively AI: Create and Customize Your Characters

Modified on Thu, Jun 19 at 8:22 AM

Characters are at the heart of every great story and with Scrively AI, bringing them to life has never been easier. Whether you’re building heroes, villains, or side characters, Scrively allows you to create unique personas with names, roles, personalities, and visual references.

Scrively will generate character suggestions tailored to your prompt, helping you bring your story to life with relevant and engaging personalities.

To ensure accurate and high-quality illustrations in your storybook, each character should have an associated image. If a character doesn’t have an image, the pop-up below will appear before you can proceed to the ‘Add Details’ view.”

Click on the ellipsis menu on the right hand side of each character to "Edit details" or "Remove character."

Customize your character by editing details like their name, role, gender, age, and a brief description to shape their personality and relevance to your story.

Hover over the character's avatar to add an image.

Alternatively, click on "Generate" to add an image.

In the “Generate Image” tab, provide a rich and detailed description to help Scrively AI bring your vision to life. The more specific and vivid your input, the better the results. For example, include unique features, settings, moods, or visual elements to guide the image generation.

Drag the bottom right side of the text field to expand the view.

When the description is ready click on "Generate."

Scrively will take a few moments to think.

The generated image will appear on the right side of the screen. If it’s not quite what you envisioned, feel free to refine your description, adding more detail or adjusting the tone, and then click “Regenerate” to try again.

When you're satisfied click on "Done" and the image will be saved for the character.

If you’d like to use a photo as a character reference, head over to the “Generate from Photo” tab.

Upload the image.

Click on "Generate" and give Scrively a few moments to think. The generated image will then appear on the right side. If you're not satisfied with the image you'll also have the option to regenerate.
