After your story is generated, the Scrively Book Editor empowers you to make it truly your own. From rewriting text to rearranging scenes, and changing the writing style, the editor offers all the tools you need to fine-tune your book with ease and creativity.
In the "Editor", you can click into and modify the title, author, and the story's content to fit your vision.
If the generated story doesn’t quite meet your expectations, click on “Regenerate” to have Scrively create a new version.
When you highlight text within your story, Scrively presents several powerful editing tools to help enhance your writing. These include options to rewrite, correct grammar, change the point of view, adjust the writing style, and simplify the content for better clarity and flow.
On the right side, you’ll find the Scrively Assistant, your interactive writing companion. Use it to chat, ask questions, or get help as you create your story.
For example, you can say, "Give me a more kid friendly title for this story.”
If needed, use the "+" icon to to add a reference photo.
Click on the send icon or press return/enter on your keyboard to share the request with the assistant.
The Scrively Assistant will generate a response tailored to your request, offering helpful suggestions or edits to enhance your story.
Click the star icon to save the assistant’s response to your “Notes” tab for easy reference later.
All starred items will be automatically saved in the “Notes” tab for quick access anytime.
If you’re not satisfied with the assistant’s suggestion, click the regenerate icon to receive a new response.
You can review all of your previous suggestions by navigating to the “History” tab.
To remove the Scrively Assistant from your view, click the “X” icon located at the top right corner of the assistant panel.
To bring the Scrively Assistant back into view, simply click the pencil icon located at the top right corner.
Once you’ve finished editing, click “Continue to Design” to start customizing the look of your book. Start with the front cover design guide here.
If you switch back to the "Story Builder" view while working in the "Editor" view, a pop-up will appear warning that any changes made in the Story Builder will result in your story being regenerated.
