Elements allow you to enhance your book pages with additional design details like shapes, icons and other visual components. By adding and arranging elements, you can customize each page’s layout, control layering, and create a polished look that brings your story to life.
In the Designer (book layout view), open the "Elements" tool from the panel on the right side.

Use the search field to find specific elements.

Or click into the "Elements Categories."

Use the search field at the top to find a specific element, such as shapes.

Alternatively, scroll down the list.

Drag and drop the element onto the canvas.

Once placed, click the element to reveal editing options, including resize handles on all sides.

Select "Rotate" to adjust the element’s orientation.

Use the "Reset element" icon to remove any changes made.

To control how the element's layers interact with other items on the page, open the "Arrange" menu.

This tool provides four options that let you move the element forward or backward within the page layout.
- Bring Forward
Moves the selected text block one layer forward, placing it above other elements that overlap it. - Bring to Front
Moves the selected text block to the top layer, placing it above all other elements on the page. - Send Backward
Moves the selected text block one layer backward, placing it behind overlapping elements. - Send to Back
Moves the selected text block to the bottom layer, placing it behind all other elements on the page.

If you no longer need the element, click on "Remove element" to remove it.

A confirmation modal will be displayed.

Click and drag the element to place it anywhere on the page.

When you’re finished browsing the elements, click the arrow to return to the previous view.

Once you’re done using the Elements tool, click the "X" icon to close it.
