Export Your Audiobook

Modified on Tue, Nov 4 at 4:11 PM

Want to share your narrated story beyond Scrively? You can easily export it as an audiobook to download, share on social media, or save for later. This lets more listeners enjoy your story wherever they are.

From your Scrively Homepage, go to your Bookshelf and hover over the book you’d like to export the audiobook for. Click the ellipsis (⋮) menu that appears.

Click on "Download book."

The preview modal will be shown. Click on "Export Audio."

The title and duration of the audiobook will be displayed.

Select "MP3" or "WAV" format.

  • MP3 files are compressed, meaning they take up less space and are easier to share online, but with slightly reduced audio quality.
  • WAV files are uncompressed and preserve full sound quality, making them larger in size but ideal for professional use or editing.

Select "Stereo" or "Mono" channels.

  • Mono audio uses a single channel, so the same sound comes from all speakers or headphones.
  • Stereo audio uses two separate channels, left and right, creating a sense of space and direction for a richer, more immersive listening experience.

The "Bit Rate" will be displayed.

  • Bit rate measures how much audio data is processed per second, usually in kilobits per second (kbps). Higher bit rates mean better sound quality and more detail, while lower bit rates reduce file size but may sound less clear.

Click on "Export Audio file."

Scrively will begin generating the audio.

Give the file a name and choose where to save it on your device.

Click on "Save" and the audiobook will be downloaded to the selected location on your device.
