Add Custom Voiceovers to Your Storybooks

Modified on Mon, Sep 22 at 1:17 PM

Give your stories a unique and captivating voice by adding custom voiceovers. Personalized narration adds warmth and personality, transforming each story into an unforgettable experience that truly resonates with readers.

In the "Studio" tab, select the book you want to add voiceovers to.

Scrively Studio will open directly to the "Voice-over" tab for the selected book

Select the "Record Mic" tab.

The pages of your book are displayed in a list on the left side for easy navigation and editing.

Click on the page where you want to record your voiceover.

Click the selected page once more to begin recording your voiceover.

A countdown will start before recording begins, and you’ll have the option to cancel if needed.

Begin speaking to start recording your voiceover.

When you're all set stop the recording.

The recording duration will be shown, along with an option to start a new recording if needed.

Hover over the recording on a page to reveal the ellipsis menu, then select "Delete" to remove the recording if needed.

Click into the next page to begin recording.

Use the play button to listen to the voiceover for the current page.

As the voiceover plays, the progress bar will advance accordingly.

View the total voiceover duration and the current playback position at the bottom right corner.

When you’re happy with the voice-over, click "Save without publishing."

Save without publishing: This saves your work in your account but does not make it visible to anyone else. It's perfect for drafts or when you want to refine your book before sharing it.

Save and publish: This saves your work and makes it live so your audience can view or access it. Use this when your book is ready to be shared with readers.

If you prefer, you can use an AI Voice-Over. Please note, switching from recording your own voiceover to AI voice-over will trigger a warning below indicating that previous recordings won’t be lost unless you record new audio in the new mode.
